Yangnim-dong Penguin Village
A back-lane quarter in Gwangju's old missionary district, hung wall to wall with salvaged clocks, radios and tin signs by residents who called themselves penguins for the way they walked. The surrounding Yangnim-dong keeps early 20th-century Western houses and churches. Small enough to wander in an hour.
